July 4th will be here before you know it
According to AAA this year a total of more than 44 million people will travel for the 4th of July, and they are expected to travel 50 miles or more. That will make this the most traveled Independence Day since AAA started to keep records. The July 4th holiday travel period is defined as from Friday June 30 to Tuesday July 4th. Of those over 44 million that are going to travel 37.5 million will be taking to the roads and driving to their 4th of July destination. Will you be one of them? One of the 5 best road trips in the US is a trip that starts in Philadelphia and goes across the state to Pittsburgh. Philadelphia has plenty to do to celebrate the 4th of July - places like Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell and Reading Terminal Market. Get in your car and head west with a quick stop in Hershey to see how they make those Hershey bars that we all love and then check out the roller coasters at Hershey Park, back in your car and travel over to Harrisburg, the state capitol, with a guided tour of the capital building on your list of things to do. Heading west from there stop in Somerset for a hike at Laurel Hill State Park and explore the covered bridges. Finish up the road trip in Pittsburg by visiting the Carnegie Museum of Art and the Andy Warhol Museum. But before you start your travels make sure that your vehicle is as ready to go as you are. Stop into any of our 36 Jack Williams Tire & Auto Service Centers and let us give your vehicle a good going over, we will check your tires - you don't want to get on the road and end up with a flat tire because of worn tires. We can check your air conditioning so you and your passengers stay cool during your road trip. We will also check your fluids and we can even get you in for that last minute oil change. If you need to make an appointment you can go to our website at https://www.jackwilliams.com and schedule your appointment or call into our store and they can schedule your appointment before leaving for that epic road trip.
